The SP 2000 M - the total marine solution:
The small antenna weighing only 2,2 kg and the notebook sized unit now also enables the owner of smaller ships to equip their craft with a satellite telephone. Due to the single-cable-solution the installation is easy.
The menu-driven operation is self-explaining and does not require any previous knowledge. The SP 2000 M provides all the features and functions of a modern telephone such as redialling, monitoring speaker, telephone book as well as display and recording of speech time.

General usage of the telephone and certain specified functions can be re-stricted for unauthorized persons through PIN-Codes.

Communication via satellite has never been as attractive before. Therefore the SP 2000 M would be an ideal addition to any already existing GMDSS configurations. Connection fees of less than US $ 3,-/min. lead to remarkable reductions of communication costs on board. Various Service Providers are already offering the choice between different tariff schemes, that have especially been developed for either low or high users.

The SP 2000 M also operates with a SIM card (Smart card), which does not only protect against unauthorized usage but also ensures transparent accounting, if several persons (each with an own Sim card) have access to the same unit.
The INMARSAT-Phone is not just a telephone: When connecting a notebook you enter into the modern world of data transfer with all its manifold possibilities: e-mail, file transfer, electronic banking as well as Internet access. New customer services such as voice mail or short message service - the possibility to receive short written messages on display - will also be offered by several service providers in the nearest future.

The system has full fax machine facilities.
Within public authorities the usage of a crypto telephone is obligatory for relevant security communication. The SP 2000 M also offers a special software (option), which allows the connection of STU III/STUII/B terminals.
