The new STN ATLAS Inmarsat-phone SP 2000 P opens up a new aera of global mobile communications.
It provides access to the international telephone network anywhere in the world.
The compact, note book sized and truely portable SP 2000 P makes its user independent from any terrestrical and cellular infrastructure - for instance on a construction site in Central Asia, on an expedition in the Andes or during a relief mission in the heart of Africa.

The STN ATLAS SP 2000 P is more than just a global telephone. Besides digital voice services it allows to send and receive fax as well as data communication like e-mail and access to the Internet.
The telephone is integrated in a rugged magnesium casing and operated through a handset with display like a cellular telephone.
A built-in battery pack allows a standby time of 48 hours independent from any external power source.
